Stepping into Laughter

November 3, 2015 by Rose Leave a Comment

Have you ever been called to do something totally outside of your “normal”, and then LISTENED?

I did and am I AM PROUD to say that I am one of the artists in The Divine Love Oracle Deck!!!!Halloween-Spread (2)

I loved, loved art in college, always was taking something usually some kind of printmaking…yet I can’t remember doing any art since.

Then 4 or 5 weeks ago I saw a post about a crowd sourced and crowd funded oracle deck and without thinking I wrote something like. “This sounds like fun, let me know if you have any spots left.” Now, I have just started to use oracle decks, I find them a great tool for tapping into your own intuition, but I have never contemplated being involved with making a deck or talking about oracle. Logically I am a baby at the use of this tool but I didn’t worry because it seemed like the deck was already pretty complete.

Much to my surprize Amethyst Mahoney responded right away that a couple of cards were still open including “Laughter” and then I knew this was divine timing. If you have meet me in person or watched any of my videos you know I am a person who laughs and cries easily and frequently.

In middle school I was afraid of creating laughter. I really didn’t know anymore that people could be laughing with you. I always felt like they were laughing at me. I grew smaller and smaller. Then a met a lovely lady in my youth group, Reese.  Reese accepted me for who I was: a serious, silly, earnest person who always wanted to be helping and doing. Life was fun again. And we laughed long and hard at times. We worked long and hard at times. Often we laughed while we were working.  Life still wasn’t easy but it was easier.

Now, I believe that the universe has a sense of humor you can see if you are willing to look. I believe laughing at the absurd is so much better than crying or raging. There is nothing more refreshing than a full body laugh surrounded by friends. I believe remembering to stop working and see the brighter side of life can make you more efficient and effective. In all laugher is a large part of my life now. I even love to make my lead laugh while social dancing west coast swing.

Laughter was the perfect subject for me. And then the fear came….

The fear slowed me down. I procrastinated. I didn’t learn the software. I didn’t have anything except a design in my mind. I knew what I wanted the card to look like but had not done anything to make it a reality.

I thought I had more time but then I realized the card was late. I had to do my card in one night. My husband opened Photoshop for me. Learned to use hubby’s tablet. I tried to draw the laughing face I saw in my mind over and over again. I had something I liked…then the computer crashed. I had to start over. My husband wanted to help me so badly. He offered to fix my drawing. But I knew this had to be my art. I got something I liked.  Yay!

Then for the rays. I had to learn to use photoshop. I couldn’t get what was in my head to show up in the design. I had to settle…My perfectionist hates to settle. Then I added the background photo and a different background photo, and another, and another. I didn’t love any of them. I had 3 that were ok. But I had run out of time…

My fear was strong and I wanted to quit. I couldn’t decide which version to send or even if I should send one. But once I make a commitment I really try hard not to back out. I finally told myself “Someone has to have the least creative card. This time it is going to be you.” That’s how I finally talked myself into sending the card into Amethyst. But I still could not decide which one. So I was embarrassed but I left the choice up to her.

She picked the card I was afraid was too boring. It was the one that hubby picked too. A couple of weeks ago watching Amethyst and one of the other artist go through the deck, that artist pointed out my card as one she loved.  And I am laughing as I write this.  We can make things so hard on ourselves. I can be absurd and stubborn but laughter won. It was all worth it!

I am proud to be part of this amazing group of artist bringing you a wonderful tool to tap into your intuition. I would love it if you shared this amazing project or if you are so called purchase a set. I can’t wait to get my Divine Love Oracle Cards!

2 Minute Tip ~ #12 Negative Voice

December 24, 2014 by Rose Leave a Comment

We all have these voices in our heads that seem to try to bring us down and dash our hopes; that don’t seem to have any real usefulness. What do you do when the voice in your head starts talking negative?

Welcome to Mindfully Organized 2-Minute Tips I’m Rose Hawley-Perry,  The Declutter Your Mind So Your Soul Can Shine Coach and I’m here to tell you that everyone has a little negative voice in your head… in their heads… even the people that seem to have it all together.

What you do when your negative voice starts to get loud and affect what you’re doing? The very first thing you need to do is remember that just because it’s in your mind it does not mean that it’s true. You’re mind’s kind of like receiver box. It’s full of all kinds of different television channels. Some are good. Some are bad. Some you could care less about. You get to choose what to dial into when the negative voices are in there. It’s a choice to stay on that channel.

The very first thing you need to do is sit down and listen to what the negative voices have to say. There might be something in there that you need to hear. That negative voice is often there just to protect you. So, sit down and listen. There may be something wrong with the situation that maybe not coming up as clearly, but it may be there.

If it’s just an old “I’m not good enough”, “I can’t do this”; that it might be some old programming and you need to change the channel. So how do you change the channel? There’s a lot of techniques. You can use mantras to, kind of, ease your spirit. You can give your negative voice a different job. You can focus through the fear which I talk about in a previous two minute tip. Anything to, kind of, take your mind back into a positive place. So, the next time you have some negative voices rolling through your heads, stop, listen, and then change the channel.

Let’s keep the conversation going.  Leave me a comment and let me know how you deal with the negative voice inside your head.  I will personally respond to each comment.

MOLogoI am floating on air! This is the official announcement that the Mindfully Organized website has been totally redone for you!  This is a new place in my business and now the site reflects what I’m here to help you with! Please celebrate with me!

I am so excited to have a space to share what I have created  that is more “mindfully organized.” It was a process that I learned a lot from!

Here’s just some of what I needed to get this done, and what I’ve realized in my own journey makes things truly happen in life:

  • Trusting in intuition/inner guidance/the universe
  • Being patient with the process
  • Letting go of perfectionism and trusting that it’s ready, and taking the leap of faith
  • When we go with the flow and take consistent action  – some really beautiful and powerful things emerge.

I have a gift for you – a new video series called “Stop, Don’t Buy Another Business Building Program Until You Hear This…” This 4 part video series discusses some of the basics that hold entrepreneurs back from truly soaring.

How many people do you know that just keep purchasing business building programs over and over again hoping that the next one will make their business a success?  These videos have so really important information for anyone that has been in this vicious cycle.  Please share this free information.  It is so important to get out of the crazy cycle!  Please share this link to get this message out there! https://mindfullyorganized.com/wait/

Let’s make this a celebration!  Let a comment below about something we can celebrate with you.  Let us start a rousing round of WooHoos!

2 Minute Tip ~ #11 Shifting Gears

November 12, 2014 by Rose Leave a Comment

Are you feeling frustrated with your business? Are you thinking that you might need to change gears…again? Wondering if you’re ever going to get it right?

Welcome to Mindfully Organized 2- Minute tips.   I am Rose Hawley-Perry, The De-Clutter YOur Mind So Your Soul Can Shine Coach and today we are going to talk about the feelings that can come up when we think about changing gears in our businesses again.

If you are frustrated, then you’re not alone. It’s said that being an entrepreneur is one of the most thorough ways of self-exploration. When we start to dive deeply into ourselves, we also come to new and sometimes startling realizations about our business. As a result, we end up shifting gears. And sometimes it’s a dramatic shift.

Making changes like this in our business can be startling. We may feel like we are constantly struggling, having a hard time “getting it right”. We may mourn the loss of the work and time we’ve spent in putting things together. And we think that maybe this will be the “last time”.

Except, there’s a good chance that it won’t be. As we grow our business grows. As we work through the mental clutter to find clarity and focus, this also translates to our business. This means changes.

Embrace the idea of “shifting gears”. You’re not losing anything; you’re gaining renewed focus and energy in your business. You’re gaining clients. You’re most likely growing your platform and expanding your reach. This is great news!

So how do become comfortable with the idea of changing your focus? First, you need to understand that this has nothing to do with failure. Think of it more like a recipe. You’re cooking up things in your business and you make a decision to try a different spice. Maybe you make a dish that normally uses beef and you decide to substitute chicken. Changing a recipe isn’t a failure. It’s a change, one that sometimes turns into a new favorite. Other times, you decide it doesn’t quite work out and you go in a new direction. It’s never a failure.

Look at the benefits the change brings you. And look at the reasons why you’re making the change. If it feels good—feels right—to make the change, then that’s a good thing. Most likely it also will bring benefits to you personally as well as your business.

Changing gears is something that all great business leaders do and embrace. Many business books talk about being nimble—that’s what embracing change is all about.

So the next time you feel a need to change your focus, don’t fear and don’t worry. It’s all part of the process…and that means progress for you and for your business. I have even more to say on this topic in my new series of video “Stop Don’t Buy Another Business How-To Program Until you watch this….You can register to watch at http://www.mindfullyorganzied.com/wait

What do you think?  How do you embrace change in your life or your business?

2 Minute Tip #10 ~ Focus Through the Fear

October 28, 2014 by Rose 2 Comments

What do you do when you get anxious about your business?

Welcome to Mindfully Organized Two Minutes Tips. I’m Rose Hawley-Perry, the De-Clutter Your Mind So Your Soul Can Shine Coach, and I’m here to talk to you today about what to do when your fear starts overwhelming you.

If you’re like a lot of people, you’ll do anything except work on what’s making you anxious. It may be time to try another tactic. The next time that anxiety rears its ugly head, try working through it.

What do I mean by that? Do something for your business. Anything! Your mind can’t focus on two things at one time, so if you change your focus from your anxiety to your business you’re doing something more productive.

This actually has a few benefits: The first being that you’re not in anxiety, you’re moving forward, you are creating positive momentum. Even if the things you are working on aren’t the most perfect things to work on your moving forward.

One of the other benefits I want to talk about is the fact that just starting to work gives us direction and a lot of times our anxiety comes up because we don’t have direction. When we focus on one thing and we start getting it done, it allows us to open up and be ready for the possibilities that the universe has to throw at us, and when we’re closed off, and we’re tight, and we’re anxious, we’re not open to these possibilities.

You might even find yourself inspired to change course and that’s okay. In fact, we’ll talk about that a little bit more next week.

This isn’t meant to turn you into a workaholic. This is just meant to focus you. So make sure that you’re doing the things you need to do to take care of yourself, that you’re spending time with your friends and your family. But, if you have time to work on your business and you’re finding yourself stuck in anxiety, I want you to choose to work on something.

What do you do to get out of fear and anxiety?  Share with us and keep the conversation going!
